Following our 40th Reunion, we were fortunate enough to be able to present several monetary awards to students of the Class of 2010 and we would like to be able to do something similar for the Class of 2015. Please consider giving us your support. In order to meet the publishing deadline we need to receive your information and donation no later than September 19th.

If you prefer not to purchase or donate on line, please email us at anacostia1969@yahoo.com to make your purchase in person with a Committee member. You may also purchase via mail – enclose a check payable to Anacostia 1969 Class.

Countdown to the Class of 1969 Reunion Celebration – 45 Years
“Many Paths – Celebrating One Spirit”

The celebration of another major milestone for the Class of 1969 is now only six weeks away. Your Reunion committee is working hard to finalize the details of what we hope to be a memorable event.

We want to be sure that everyone is aware that we are not just planning a “party”- but a time of fellowship to celebrate and acknowledge our journey since our high school graduation, and to celebrate the history, relationships and experiences that unite us as the Class of 1969.

As the years have progressed, some of our classmates who attended the last class reunion have transitioned to be with our Heavenly Father. Let’s not let another five years go by without coming together just one more time to share a smile, a laugh, and to catch up with those we met along the path 45 years ago. Truly, we don’t know what the next years have in store, so we encourage you to please take advantage of this upcoming opportunity for fellowship just once more.

The Committee has reached the point that we need to better determine how many will be attending the Banquet on Saturday, October 11th at Martin’s Camelot in Upper Marlboro, MD. We have heard from many of you via email and telephone calls, so at this time we ask that you please go ahead and make your ticket purchases. Others of you might want to hold your spot with a deposit of $25.00, with final payment due by September 25th.

Since our last milestone celebration in 2009, the contact information for some of our classmates is no longer valid. If you know of someone that may not be on our mailing list, please be sure to share this information with them. Also, if you wish to invite someone to celebrate with you, the event is open to family, friends and members of other graduating classes.

Your Reunion Committee actually starting planning this event more than a year ago. We have a very hardworking group of classmates who have dedicated many hours brainstorming and planning. The committee members include: Darrell Brooks, Broadine Boxley Brown, Willistine Boxley Brown, Althea Harshaw Flack, Zina Clark Griffith, Viola Collier Jones, Denise Goins Stockton and Jennifer Harrison Texeira.

Tickets can be purchased online using PayPal on the class website at (www.anacostia1969.org). You may also send a check payable to Anacostia Class of 1969 to 4316 22nd Place, Temple Hills, MD 20748. If you have any questions feel free to give us a call at 301-367-3358.
